On the 7th of December the NOVIMOVE project was introduced by Erwin van der Linden at the 2nd Workshop on container liner services organised by the Dionysus project – integrating the Danube Region into Smart & Sustainable Multi-modal & Intermodal Transport Chains. The Dionysus project focuses on addressing main regional challenges in infrastructure governance and planning highlighting key actions needed to support Danube transport, port infrastructure planning. NOVIMOVE at IAME conference

NOVIMOVEs Danitsja van Heusden- van Winden conducted a series of interviews today at the IAME 2021 conference on Maritime Economics in Rotterdam. She will be collecting good stories on academic dissemination on the topic of Inland Waterways Transportation, more specifically on improving the performance on the Rhine-Alpine corridor, in front of the appropriate scenary of the iconic Erasmus bridge. Contribution to the conference are made by prof. dr. Rudy Negenborn, Bilge Kucuk Atasoy, prof. Edwin van Hassel and Frederik Schulte. Rudy Negenborn appointed member of Advisory Board PLATINA3

Prof. dr. Rudy Negenborn, scientific project coordinator of H2020 funded IWT innovation project NOVIMOVE, is appointed member of the Advisory Board of PLATINA3, the European policy platform for Inland Waterway Transportation. The EU-funded PLATINA3 project will provide for targeted coordination and support activities to promote inland waterway transport (IWT) in Europe. Horizon Projects meeting 8th of March

On the 8th of March a Horizon project coordinators meeting took place. Based on crosslinks identified by the NOVIMOVE team, this initiative aimed to strengthen the ties with collegue project teams within the field of waterborne innovation. The following projects took part in the online meeting: PLATINA3, Lasting, IW-NET, AEGIS, BOOSTLOG and AUTOSHIP. As a follow-up to this meeting a database has been drafted, containing contact information, envisaged project outcomes, geographical scope and practical (dissemination) opportunitites for further cooperation.
