On Friday 19th of June the official kick-off of the project NOVIMOVE took place. More than 70 people from 21 partner organisations gathered online in a General Assembly to discuss first steps to be taken in this 4 years research project which is funded by the H2020 program of the European Union.
NOVIMOVE stands for Novel Inland Waterways transport concepts for moving freight effectively. At this occasion work packages leaders took the online stage to set the challenge, describing ways in which their part of the NOVIMOVE-plan can make the difference at the same time while striving for a significant 30% increase in IWT-transportation on the Rhine-Alpine corridor.
